Which yoko's are you referring to? The YK580 is what I have on mine and they are $660 for 2, DiscountTire exclusive tire.

I have had the Yokohama Advan Sport A/S on my 2007 SWB with sport option for about 3000 miles and I am extremely happy with them. Ride and noise level very good, wet and dry, and for an all season they are quite good in the snow.

Thanks everyone for the helpful input. I ended up ordering the Yokohoma Advan Sport A/S from Tirerack and shipped to my independent German shop. The A8L has 88,000 miles on it now and has been pretty trouble free. I would like to drive it another 90,000 miles so I'm getting a little maintenance done. List of items are:

-4 new Yokohoma Advan Sport A/S tires with mounting, balancing and laser alignment
-Front Hawk Ceramic brake pads and new rotors with brake fluid change
-Synthetic oil change
-Transmission fluid change
-Valve cover gaskets leaking oil so getting those replaced
-4 brand new Lemforder upper control arms with 2 new front sway links
-AC recharge
-Sunroof drains cleaned

All of this will run me close to 3 grand excluding the price of the tires but I think it is well worth it for a car that still looks and drives better than most 2015 models on the road today.

I think you are paying about a thousand too much for this maintenance. The three thousand should cover the tires and alignment.
I Would not replace the UCA's, just the bushings. Arms in 50,000 when the next bushings are worn.

Personally, I would only replace the arms if the ball joints are bad and are not available to press out & in. But that's just me.....

Me too. Instead those links I would replace the sway bar. Bushings are toast for sure. I also agree that the price is too high.

The general consensus here is to service the bushings only. I relayed this to my indy. He said that is true however it is better in the long run to replace the whole arm because you get a new ball joint as well. Why go through all of the trouble and labor of pressing in new bushings and getting the arms off if in another 30,000 miles or so you will have to replace them anyway because the bushings are worn? in the grand scheme of things it comes out cheaper. He's only charging me about $150 per Lemforder arm he's getting from his supplier vs $290 a piece OEM from dealer. These guys are VW Audi specialists and have worked on them for decades so I trust them. Many times I think I need something replaced and they have saved me money by telling me I don't need to replace certain items so I know they aren't trying to take advantage of me.

If you get OE arms for $150 vs $30 for a bushing it might come closer when you add labor. Pressing bushings is a bit of pain but not an hour per a bushing. Probably one hour for all four.

On the other hand, new ball joint can survive 3 bushings. So you may not need them until the third set of bushings.
