You can get any brand you want in a 275/40/20. I went with the GoodYear All Season sport and have run them for over 12,000 miles now and been real impressed in all conditions from snow and ice to dry and warm. Quiet and seem like there going to last a good long time.

I've never replaced tires with a size different than the original equipment. Am I correct in assuming the 20 inch rim will handle the 275s v the 265s that come on the car?

10mm wider than the 265. No fitment problems at all and opens up a whole new selection than Audis limited factory sizing with 265/40/20.

Tires Mounted - Impressed so far
I couldn't get them to commit at the local Hibdon/Tires Plus that the tires they had in their warehouse were the noise canceling model, so I ended up buying through tire rack. The tires arrived in 4 days. I had them mounted and balanced and went for a drive only to discover a vibration at high speeds. I went back for a rebalance and now they are perfect. Took a short 1 hour road trip on the interstate over the weekend and they were marvelous. Quiet and smooth. The noise canceling system substantially reduced chatter over expansion joints and the like and the tires are very quiet and smooth over smooth pavement. Hit some heavy rain on the way home and they seemed to be very good at avoiding hydroplaning. So far, very impressed. My car is now as quiet as any car I've ever owned.

Same thing was also found BTW on D3 S8's with 265's--265/35 for them was kind of a dead end, minimal choice tire size and various owners migrated to the 275's there too with the same greater availability of different brands and better pricing in general.
Back on OP's question BTW, I saw a reference by Audi to some quieter tire/wheel technology involving the D4 W12 some months ago, so this Pirelli tire is probably it.

My prior experience with the P-zero nero's are while they're "all season tires" they are more on the sport side of all season tires. IE closer to being a summer tire then one you'd really use lets say in a snow storm. You can use them in snow but you have to be pretty careful. Obviously if heavy snow is not part of your normal equation then you're all set.
