Thought I might revive this to see if anyone had a real resolution. Been having side assist false alerts since I got the car. Originally started out as both drivers and passenger would alert quite often. So much that you couldn't trust it and I ended up turning it off. The dealer replaced the module and that fixed the drivers side but passengers side persisted. Just got the car back from them replacing the sensor on the passengers side and it is still false alerting. From what I understand, after the module and sensor, that is pretty much all there is.

I have had mine to the dealer several times and they cannot duplicate my complaint. I have shown them videos of it acting up, but still no action from the dealer. Could they duplicate your complaint?

Mine they reprogrammed the module with a software update, and it still does it, albeit less often.

Thought I would throw in my own experiences. Had an issue with both driver and passenger side since I purchased it. They finally replaced the module and passenger side sensor. The driver now false alerts once in a while, which I consider acceptable. The passenger side alerts quite often even after the replacements. Dealer is telling me there is nothing more they can do. However, like others, when I get a loaner with side assist, they perform flawlessly. Was told I can't compare them as they are different vehicle types. I even have a coworker that has the same year and model as my A6 that does not have this problem. I have just pulled in AoA for guidance and hoping they might be able to find a solution. I am in month 10 but refuse to give up.
