Hello All, is there anyone in the United Kingdom on this forum or is it only the USA? Just got a 2012 A6 3.0TDI and and keen to activate VIM, what a pain that its turned off!

If you go to the Audizine B8 S4 forum there is a sticky with a lot of mods available. Quite a few of them translate to the A8.
While the VIM sounds cool it is quite a distraction. Just hope a police officer doesn't pull up beside you while you are watching Caddyshack.

Neither of the last two people who asked about it have an A8.
They did a google search, joined AudiWorld, wanted someone to rehash the entire procedure as opposed to searching/learning and adding value by participating in the forum.

The procedure for D4 is fully documented in this forum.

That's the way you appreciate a car more is to dig around and learn about it. You are right Jake. I love all the features on my wifes new A8. Makes my 11 S4 look archaic!
