Hello, I'm swapping into an Audi 4.2 V8 into a Porsche 944.
I will be putting the engine into the back directly attached to the transaxle.
It maybe not possible to use the 944 manual shift transaxle, so I'm considering using the Audi 80 automatic transaxle that I got with the engine.

This transaxle is very small and light, particularly compared to the A8 transaxle, from my searching it appears to be the one used with the 1.8 turbo.

I was hoping to find a manual or more info on this transaxle, in particular I need to know what the wiring is for it, and hopefully it is fully electriconic controlled so I can control it with my own software.

Any help appreciated. I have found the wiring for the V8 online, probably have questions about that later.

an automatic from 1.8t or 2.8 will not handle that type of torque/power. dont even bother, auto is crap in these cars.
manual is a different story
