Cab question #2. Axle seal leaking
Ok, while inspecting the underside of the Cab while letting my tranny drain, I found oil all over under the car. It is coming from the driver's side axle shaft seal. Just a minor setback, since I already knew the axles would have to be replaced. Both outer boots are torn up.
The car has a CFS transmisson. The correct seal appears to be oe# 097409400D.
Here's the question(s). How will I replace the lost gear oil? Can the level be checked? Is there a differential fill hole? What is the proper viscosity? The manual says it is sealed for life.

can you please place your vehicle year and model in your signature.
also, i think the cab that we converted from an auto to a manual has good axles and other parts that came out of it if you are interested.

I updated my signature. I hope I did it correctly. I would most certainly be interested in a pair of axles. What would it cost me to have a pair shipped to Wisconsin. Zip 54956. I'm going to check the onex on the Cab at the local junkyard. Maybe they would be useable also.
