When you are instal it, take some pictures and show the result. It will be interesting.
A while ago I heard from another guy with Cabriolet that he topped up the pump with some kind of injection method.... like syringe. How did you do that ? Just refil from the removed valves?

To easily fill the top pump, grab a bottle of "Zoom Spout Oiler", dump the contents and refill with Pentosin CHF 11S

Well thanks to all for the advice, I recently performed a procedure of moving the fuel tank out to get out the 8 valve hydraulics for my Cab.

Stripped down the motor, checked the motor bushes were not worn down too much (As Pictured),and then tested it and is is working, powered from an external source.

Tested the operation of the cab top and it did nothing, no up no down.
Checked for codes a while ago and found about four or five codes.

I lost the list of codes for now, may have to rescan.
From memory it threw a code for windows down or up relay, sensor unreadable in boot lid closure or lock position( this is another story), and another code that threw me a bit as it said it was vehicle specific AUDI see dealer code or something.

But basically I am a bit disappointed what's the use of a roof that's not automatic in this type of prestige car..
I blame some PO on removing vital electrical parts of the stock systems and adding in after market parts incorrectly. Such as the stereo and other I wish not to discuss on this forum..
Sorry guys, thats my hopefully only rant here, bad day..

Default trolling internet

As my boot actuator was jammed locked when I got the car, locking the boot shut. I had to use soon after purchase, several extensions to open the boot.

I removed the arm from the lock actuator to temporarily allow the boot to open. Worked fine until now the faulty actuator is causing a fault code on the roof opening.

I have now shorted together two pins, as from :
CCV6 post on the pinouts he was not sure how they were numbered:

Roof operation microswitch position drawings - Audifans.net

Still no luck, from this forum's page I was checking shorts between the pins and found that three are shorted together, tracing back into the wiring this six pin plug at the actuator splits up into two, three pin connectors(brown and green), all of the green connectors are shorted together..While the brown plug is o.k.no shorting.

I realize now I should have been also testing shorts to ground the chassis, but have not as yet.

As the post by CCV6, the lock actuator plug of mine has a wire in it connecting two pins as marked by CCV6. No result in roof operation completion of opening.

I am going to leave it for now as time is becoming an issue.
