Default IR key replacement audi 90

so I got my new cs all put together and working great, however there is something that is bugging me. The car has the remote unlock feature, and I have the key with the remote built in, however I cannot get it function, i have replaced the IR bulb, however there is no voltage when the switch is depressed, so something else is wrong and it goes beyond my abilities. I know that I can have a aftermarket setup put in, but I am kind of weird in that I like having all of the original equipment working. does anyone know of way to duplicate or decode the IR signal and build another fob? Or does anyone know where I can buy a working Remote? I have searched everywhere but I cannot find another one.....maybe someone here has come up with their own solution to using the original ir system, i know it's more of gimmick than anything due to its limited function, but like I said I am nostalgic when it comes to cars and I like using the factory equipment when possible. Thanks for any advice you here can give!

They key FOB is long discontinued. The VDO made IR's were keyed to the system, not sure any aftermarket can be programmed to be keyed to actually work.
Possible you would need the exact frequency.
I have 3 FOB's and only one is currently working.
I've changed batteries, looked at the PCB for damage or burnt chips and they look fine but they just will not work.
