Key Fob - Why do A3/S3 get such a cheap key fob? Can it be changed?

Default Key Fob - Why do A3/S3 get such a cheap key fob? Can it be changed?
Hey all,

Has anyone been able to program the newer A4 or other key fob to their A3/S3? I find our key fob with the switchblade key very cheap VW-ish.

Interesting idea; the A3 key is exactly the same as my previous A6s (the oldest of which would be 14 years old now, RIP.) Is there additional functionality you're looking for or is it just aesthetics?

Aesthetics. Also the key always pops out in my pocket.

Yeah, that's a bummer and it only gets worse over time. BTW, I just got the conformation email that my Clearmount has shipped.....

this is my number one reason for wanting to swap over to another fob. very annoying.
