Someone knocked the side view mirror off my car, and I purchased the OEM replacement from ECS. Upon install it seems like the image is blurry or not clear. It is almost like I feel drunk when looking into the mirror. Any one else had any experience with this?

Stupid question... is there a clear plastic protective film on the glass?

I wish that was the case. No film on the mirror. Its almost like a fun house mirror where the mirror isn't perfectly flat & is distorting the image. I guess I will give it another week, and if it doesn't fix itself I will call ECS.

Why wait a week. There is a defect in the glass.

spoke with ECS and the sales person mentioned he had a similar issue, and it resolved itself once it got hot in the sun. Also I am taking the CPA exam Friday, May 22 and I just don't want to deal with it right this second. My life will resume next Tuesday.

My factory drivers side mirror was like a fun house mirror for a few days and then poof it went away.

They are flexible and if they aren't clicked in the whole way, then you get a fun house mirror. Try reinstalling it. I had it before on my a6 mirror glass replacement
