VAG-COM, Proper Interface for the 2015 A3 8V

I SERIOUSLY doubt it. It's all software, although obviously if you crash one of the modules, you might have to admit it and pay for repair, but it you follow directions well, it's hard to break something and it pretty easy to revert back to original code if keep track. I've been 'vagcom'ing' for 10 years, and I'm not very bright, I've not miss-coded any modes yet. (Probably shouldn't say that out loud.)

I've even heard of a few people pleading with their dealership to activate certain features. Might be a good place to start, worst they can say is 'no'.

Edit: Does a VAG-COM only work with PC's, or will it interface with my MacBook?

Hahahaha, it does sound dirty.
It's software that technicians usually use to diagnose and configure the electronics in VW/Audi/Skoda and a few others, it's made-up of Windows Software and a special cable to connect to the car.
This is my favorite vendor:
Ross-Tech: Home

There's literally hundreds of things you could change… whether you'd want to is the question.
Diagnostic Procedures - Ross-Tech Wiki
The major use I have for VAG COM is for my older A4, for check engine lights and other diagnostics.
Frankly if you have a new car, you'll just change a few things and then the cable will sit in a drawer for months.

I was wondering, how come Audi dealer can't activate some of these features?
I assume they have similar/better equipment than what Ross-Tech has recreated.
Would it be a simply click of a software button for the Audi dealer Service tech to just enable the DRLs when the turn signals are activated?
Is Ross-Tech the only piece of hardware that can do that? What about the OBD2 ELM327 devices?
