New to the forums, need some clarification as to what is going on.

I just had my heater core, timing belt, water pump and fuel filter changed.
As I drive away from the shop, I can hear this hissing sound while I'm accelerating, same sound when revving while idling. This was not the case before I took the car in to get the heater core, timing belt and water pump changed. (Air bag light on after the heater core job) Also after the heater core job, there's only heat when I put it on HIGH, all other settings it will have just regular air coming through.

I went back the next day and got a P0299 code for Turbo charger underboost, and its true, while I was driving the car it felt like the ***** had been dropped off my car, I couldn't feel the turbo. He says its most likely the DV's diaphragm ripped. How is this possible, they couldn't have possibly touched that part.

My cooling fans seem to periodically work as well, causing overheating. He changed a sensor thinking that was it, but it overheated on me last night. couple minutes after having it turned off, my cooling fans turned on.

While idling (when car has been driven for a bit), my RPM spazzes up and down and stalls like it is not getting fuel through, doesn't start up again, have to wait 5-10 minutes before it starts up again.

Any help/advice would be appreciated. Miles on car are ~107k

For the P0299, they do fail, I had one die at 115k miles. It's not too hard to replace with the right tools but you will need VCDS to adjust it properly otherwise boost response will be way off.
