Default Hole in oil pan on 2.7....(help)

My friend's 2004, 2.7 allroad has front suspension problems where it doesn't always pump-up right away. My daughter bottomed it out in our driveway and put a quarter-sized hole in the pan. It bled-out in about 400 feet but she didn't know and drove it another 1/2 mile to work and parked it. It threw out a little more oil in the street right at the parking lot so I think it never went completely dry. It started right up this morning (ran it about 2 seconds).

My question(s) - That pan looks very assessable. Can I do that job right in the parking lot? Looks like some A/C or PS lines are in the way of the back pan bolts but they look moveable. What you think? Anything unusual about that area of the engine? Thanks in advance from a longtime AW member, C.

Should be doable, but please...don't start it again!

Here is the entire kit. This is the way I would go:

Sorry, that link is for an A6, not allroad.

They can probably put together the same complete kit if you call.

Thanks MrKid and I hear you but I honestly didn't know if it was seized or not. I figured trying it wasn't far from that fists couple seconds in the morning after sitting all night and I couldn't resist finding out. C.

I'm sure the engine is fine, just don't push it is all. These engines aren't as easy to just throw a wrench on the crank and spin it.
When the pan is off, I would definitely inspect it for metal chips.

The owners are our friends and our daughter just married their son. I told my daughter I think she dodged a MAJOR bullet!

I searched a bit but didn't see other damaged pans. I will report back as to how this parking lot job goes....
