Hi all. Could someone smart tell me what is this leak all about, for some weeks now I've had this leak behind, decided to finally bend over and take a look and take a picture. Any input appreciated.

check for something leaking in the spare tire well. maybe somone left a bottle of oil in there and its leaking.

Nope .... nothing detected in the spare tire well. Is some sort of lubrication tank back here ?

nothing to worry about.
is the cosmoline sprayed under the car, you can see it in a few spots.
over time it melts and looks like a fluid leak.
leave alone is there to prevent rust.

Cosmoline ? Stuff is coming out only from that one circle round thing in the picture which is definitely some sort of valve. It is oily and coming out of that thing. There is no oil stored or leaking anywhere in the cargo area under or sides or anywhere.

Is there a diagram or some sort of detail picture of the AR's bottom so I can see what they say this round vent / screw thing on the rear bottom is ?

Theres should be nothing. It is just a rubber stopple. I am pretty sure that the previous owner left something besides the spare tire that caused the leak.
