Default Audio through Bluetooth

Hi,
Wondering can anyone help me. I have been searching for a few days across various forums and still confused as ever!
I've recently bought a 2011 Audi A4 Tdi SE modal. I have successfully connected my iPhone 6 through the bluetooth and its work perfect for Voice calls.

However, I am unable to listen to my music. I dont seem to have an AMI in the glove department, but I do have an AUX under the arm rest.

Firstly, Is there something I havent set up correctly on my cars bluetooth that I cant listen to Audio or this modal of car doesnt have it?

Secondly, If I cant listen to audio through bluetooth, is the only option through the AUX where I must connect the iPhone to it through a cable?

Is there any bluetooth gagget I can get that will hook into my AUX and then I can play audio through the car speakers by hooking up to the bluetooth gagget?

Any help here would be much appreciated. I'm in denial that a 2011 Audi would not have some facility available to enable me to listen to my music wirelessly!

Please help!

Thanking you all in advance!

The 2011 Audi A4 does not have built-in Bluetooth Audio. That was only added to the later generation MMI starting with model year 2013. There are aftermarket solutions such as tune2air, but they need to be connected to the AMI port, which you say you don't have. Where are you located?

Hi, I've just picked up my new A4 Avant with MMI yesterday and I still have the same problem to stream audio. Is there a hidden menu or anything where I can turn this on? Or do the guys from the garage have to update this?

Thanks in advance!

You need to turn on the Bluetooth audio player option in the Bluetooth settings.

Since you responded to my post and wrote you picked up a new A4, I thought you meant brand new! As I posted above, Bluetooth Audio is only available in model years 2013 and newer, with the newer generation MMI. Your car appears to be an older model with the previous generation MMI, so no Bluetooth Audio built-in. You'll have to look into the suggested aftermarket solutions such as tune2air.

I see. In that case you don't have the GPS Plus option. You need the GPS Plus option to get Bluetooth Audio and a bunch of other things.

Uitrusting > A4 Avant > Welkom

Terrible consultancy at the garage there... I told them music and bluetooth were key. Anyways, thanks for the help already.

Is it doable to upgrade to a Nav + or should I just go for a Dension kit?

Would be very involved and costly to upgrade. The GPS Plus system is fundamentally different. It uses an optical bus to connect all the components, so you would have to first rewire the entire car.
