I have a 2013 audi A4 and a 2016 Q5. My I phone 5 was linked to both entertainment systems using blue tooth and everything worked fine. I recently upgraded the software on my I phone to 10.11. The phone remains linked to the entertainment systems and works fine. However, so long as the blue tooth function on the phone is on, no sound comes from the radio whether am, fm or satellite. It is almost as if the entertainment system thinks that there is a call in process.

Turning off the blue tooth function on the phone restores the radio function but is no solution since if there is an incoming call, the phone could not be used in hands free mode and would thus be against the law in Ontario Canada

Is there a solution?

10.11? Do you mean 10.1.1? If so, that's not the latest version. The latest is 10.2.1. There were Bluetooth fixes in the last two releases. Try upgrading to the latest version. Then go into the MMI main menu|Setup MMI and perform a factory reset of the Bluetooth and Directory modules, delete the MMI from the iPhone paired devices and then pair the phone again. See if that resolves the issue.

Also, have you had any MMI firmware upgrades? Your A4 will have a fairly old firmware if you've never had it updated, your Q5 should be much more up-to-date, but perhaps not on the latest, so you may wanna consider getting both updated to the latest version.
