I just picked up a 2013 A8 CPO. In discovering all of the features, I was trying the Voice Recognition. I am finding the button on the steering wheel is not very responsive to start the voice commands. When pressing it is often takes 4 or 5 times to trigger the beep for starting the command.

Is this typical or does this sound like it needs to be repaired?

Sounds like a repair to me. My 2015 works just fine on the first press.
