Default I hate fridges.

So a couple months ago my fridge died. Besides the mess and smell, I lost a few hundred dollars worth of food plus I spent two weeks trying to find a replacement fridge. After 3 fridges were delivered each one damaged upon delivery (from "The Brick"), I pulled out of the deal for a new fridge and got my old one repaired.

Today, I came home and my OTHER fridge was dead! So now I lost all the other food that the other fridge was keeping, including 2 years worth of hand-picked&pitted cherries from my tree --which I had planned to use this weekend in order to make pies to give away to people for Christmas (and bring to a potluck on Sunday). So now I have a new mess and new smell and another couple hundred dollars of food gone, and have to find a whole other fridge!

Also, when I got home, I found that today my contractor had spilled paint on my kitchen floor... he got it off the tiles, but not the grout. It looks like I'll need a new floor in that area. The kicker? Well, that's the floor that my wife and I recently scrubbed clean for hours after our last fridge died and leaked fruit/meat juice all over it!

Argh!

That's true. I bet that's what the contractor will try. But I've never seen a good job of that.

If the previous flooring isn't too old, it should match up ok. Good luck man

Default The flooring isn't too old, yeah.... we'll see. I bet in a year it might match.

But I'd rather have him change the tiles out. I know he won't clean them up well enough for my tastes, which means after he's done fixing it I'll have to get him to fix it again. That's why it's easier for me to get him to replace things from the start.

...I know how this guy works. I get good work out of him, but it's not without careful management.

Default So contractor scrubbed grout with paint thinner.... it looks okay.

Not to my tastes, but then again I'm a perfectionist. :P

Now to find a replacement fridge...
