2008 Audi A4 2.0T quattro Automatic transmission. Code HYH. 49k miles!
I have a mint automatic transmission that came out of a 2008 Audi A4 2.0 turbo quattro with only 49,000 miles. I can supply the VIN for the car so you can check that the miles are true.
The reason I bought this transmission is because my A4 was losing communication with the TCU (transmission control module). This would only happen when the car cooled off. When it was warmed up it would start working perfectly fine.
The computer (TCU) is located inside the transmission and connected to the valve body (Mechatronic in Audi terms). So I took the entire valve body assembly out of this transmission and swapped it with mine.
What you get here is a perfectly good low mileage transmission but the TCU will shut off when the transmission is cold. You can use it all minus the TCU or you can send out the TCU to have it fixed and you'll have a fully working complete transmission.
The valve body itself works perfectly fine and the TCU can be separated from it. The transmission even comes with a torque converter. It's so cheap that you can buy this and keep it around for insurance. I sold the car so I have no more use for it.
The fluid that came out when I took it apart was nice and clean. It was green and fresh looking, not used up and burnt brown. The magnets inside the pan were clean too. They're there to collect metal fragments but didn't have any. I can attest to the fact that this is definitely a low mileage transmission in perfect shape.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!
I'm asking $275.
