Default Audi Q5 Suspension issue

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if any of you has this same issue as well. I drive a 2013 Audi Q5 and when I went to check underneath my car I notices these cracks ins the rubber center of the 3-link suspension.

Please see images. I would like to know if this is a serious issue and that needs to be looked at immediately? Also, I want to verify if the vehicle is still driveable. Thanks for all inputs in advance.

How many miles on the Q5?

I was told once by an independent mechanic that "all Audis need new suspension by 100K miles". If it is only one link I would have it replaced but the whole suspension needs to be looked at when the Q is on the lift.

Thanks m1964.

Every 100K? Yeezus Christus. Mines only got 40441km on it.

When you're talking 'new suspension' are talking the whole nine yards or just shocks and struts, or does that include new bushings for these links?

Thank you.

The tech was talking new links/bushings/etc. after 100K miles (160,000 km), and said it may cost as much as $1500 for the front only.
However, replacing "just" all 4 shocks/struts on any vehicle can add up to $1000 easily.

If your Q is under warranty I'd take it to the dealer.

good luck

are you sure those are cracks? looks more like a rubber ball end with a rubber sleeve coming in from the sides to reduce dirt/grime.
