Confirmed iPhone 5 can connect to phone and Bluetooth stream simultaneously. I've noticed the music skips now and then, not sure why but it could be either the car Bluetooth is updating contacts or something or I have too many apps running. It's very intermittent though, I'll try and figure out why.

The 3.0T is one hell of an engine so I hear. Good luck with your purchase! And never fear, your new MMI system is way more advanced than the old one, you can stream your music library or pandora or whatever you fancy wirelessly over A2DP and it even shows album art. Long ago when I had my Jeep I tried to wire in an apple airport express into my glovebox so I could AirPlay into the car. Now all I need is a modded cable and transmitter and it works beautifully
