It's a new, 2016 SQ5 for my wife!
After driving the wheels off of her 2001 BMW 325 XI wagon, I finally talked my wife into looking for a new car. She tends to become attached to things and didn't want to give up her stick but it was clear that the time had come, so...
She created a wish list:
First, it had to be a wagon, no sedans or coupes!
She wanted a standard transmission, all wheel drive and a European built car.
As no one produces a stick wagon anymore so she reluctantly agreed to look at automatics. Sometimes you have to make compromises in life...
We began by looking at BMW. At 5' tall, the new BMW designs no longer fit her well so we crossed them off of the list. The E Class MB was too big and she didn't like the GLA or the GLK. Volvo was never really considered...This brought us to the VW, Audi family.
Toureg's were declared too big, Tiguans about right and there was not a Q3 to be found on dealer lots, they seem to be popular! We never really looked at Porsche, it is an image thing...
Anyway we drove an Allroad. Nice little wagon! Good power, nice looking, she fit, it drove well and I thought she was done looking.
Then while walking across the dealers lot I saw an SQ5. I asked the salesman to show it to us. Well, as we were "only looking" (her words...) she agreed it couldn't hurt to peek...
What do you know, she actually liked it!
It fit her, she could see out nicely, it wasn't exactly a wagon but it was wagon like... So, off we went for a test drive.
She loved it!
That was the end of shopping, she'd found her new car!
She's now driving a Glacier White SQ5 with Black Napa Sport seats, red calipers, a 21" wheel package, a Black Optic package and a Technology package...

It is fun to see her become acquainted with his car.
While I am a little amazed at just how nice this car is, she is blown away... It has been years since she has had a new car and things have changed!
She is a very capable driver and although typically restrained she knows how to push things when she wants. Nothing about this model that is lost on this girl!

Likin' the Airstream, too! Your wife's decision making process is to be commended. Nope, nope, nope, check! Done. Mine was almost the same. Q3, Macan S, Mustang GT, Golf R, BMW X3, GLA45, Q5 TDI....oh, let's just take a look at the SQ5. It's been 10 days of crazy smiles.
Has your wife put the SQ5 in dynamic, slid the shifter over to manual, taken off the ESC and hammered it yet? Launch makes dynamic/sport/auto pale in comparison. Have fun!

That's awesome! Congratulations! My wife loves hers as well! It really is an incredible piece of machinery. So quick yet so unsuspecting! This is her the day she picked hers up (smiling ear-to-ear)!

Just did the same for my wife about 6 weeks ago... She hated parting with her 2004 TT 3.2, but she wanted something that she could use to take the grandsons with her.
The Audi Salesman told us about an SQ5, and after looking at pretty much everything else on the market we kept coming back to the SQ5!
She loves it!!!
