Default Problem with tailgate... Any ideas?

Hello,

Since a few days, I have an issue with the remote control of my tailgate. 9 out of 10 times, when I press the tailgate button, the latch releases, but then nothing... The gate doesn't open. It behaves as if there was a trailer attached to the car, but nothing is connected.

If I press the exterior gate handle button, the tailgate opens. So there I know the motor it is working. Samething with the button inside the car, it works fine. It only behaves weirdly with the remote (my two remotes).

Any idea what could be wrong?

Cheers,

Martin

I've experienced this several times, but the second attempt always opens it.
I just assumed it was a fat-fingered issue of pressing the button through the pants.

BTW...I just installed the remote-close module and it works like a champ!

Default I found it!

I found the problem... The trailer fuse was blown.

Funny how erratic the tailgate was behaving... Could not find any pattern.

I replaced the fuse last week and no issues since.

Cheers.
