But I think you are missing what is being said here, YOU have a "BASIC MMI SCREEN" therefore you have no color, therefore the camera , NAV , or any video input would not work.

YOU HAVE A BASIC MMI SYSTEM display with a resolution of 400 x 240 pixels
Colour display 800 x 480 pixels

Original camera is not expensive 211 Euro, but the main thing is the control unit.

Where and how do you plan connect the camera you wish to buy.
Maybe directly on the screen of the MMI system ?????



You need to buy a complete new screen

OK, maybe I'm missing something here. But, the listing for the ad-on module says the following:

"AUDI09-INT MMi adds rear camera, 3 video inputs and 1 RGB input for Navigation into Audi vehicles with the Internal or no MMi system"

I have the prestige+ if that matters, and the screen does show multiple colors in the interface. I can see that if this is a low grade, 256 color screen, that this won't work well, even with a new video input.

Maybe there's a way to just work something into my iPhone's screen instead. I plan to mount that on the dash anyway.

Wondering if anyone has installed one, and how true is it to the factory display settings. In other words, I like how the radio and display setting work with the center screen, and i don't want that to be replaced.
