Well, I hit 30,000 on my OEM Pirellis and believe they still have 3 or 4k in them but cannot stand the noise. Decided on the Michelin Premium LTX's and having them installed at the local Costco next week. I have always had good luck with Michelins and am looking forward to the change.

My 2014 that I bought used has new Nexum tires on it. They seem to ride good and handle good as well. My local tire man told me to get those Walmart tires off asap! When I looked them up they cost a whopping $110 ea. I hate to be wasteful , but I would hate a blowout more. What would you do?

It's "Nexen" from Korea. Looks like many unhappy comments especially from Kia and Hyundai owners (OEM tires) from doing a quick web search.

I looked on the Walmart website and see what you mean. My advice is that if you are worried you should go ahead and replace them, or it will eat at you while you are driving on the freeway. A blowout at high speed could be fatal to you and drivers around you. Fortunately if you have 20 inch wheels there are many other inexpensive options that have great reviews here from knowledgeable Q7 drivers - all the tires mentioned in this thread will do great on the Q7.

My only caveat is that I have had really bad luck with Continentals - sidewall failures x 4 on 2 different cars several years ago, so I am not going to risk it again. I inspected the tires and was really struck by the thinness of the wall. Things maybe different now. Many here like them. No offense meant to any Continental enthusiasts.
