I have been posting in the 4.2 forum, but it was suggested that I move it over here to get model specific coverage. I have a 2004 Nogaro S4 MT6 with 114k miles. I am trying to be sure that the timing chain is my issue, and diagnose how far along the problem is. I have a VAG-COM (Genuine) and the ross-tech software. I am including my logs in below. They have told me to go search for Block 93 to find out about cam timing, but I can't find that information in the VAG.

I am having very little of the initial start up rattle, but my problem is while I'm driving. As I approach revs and hold them, it's almost like a chain rattle that I'm hearing that follows along side the revs of the engine. It's not very loud or disturbing, but I've had the car for 8 years and I know every sound and rattle that it makes, and this one has come on in the last month or so. I've stopped driving it for now. I tried making a video of it, but the gopro video noise overshadowed the engine noise.

Can you help me diagnose what the problem is, and the extent of it?
