its been 32K miles since I had the clutch installed and its been great ever since. But I have been reading that this is certainly a weak spot in the design. get the clutch and problems go away….but like others are saying, you may want to go private and save the cash.
i chose to use Audi for that job on my car because the car was still under warranty and it took them a long time to figure out the problem, so I was sceptical. this way if it wasn't the solution then i could go after audi. but knowing what I do now, the clutch sucks! And stupidly i got the same one installed again!
with that said i LOVE my s4!

Great, my car is in the shop right now getting the clutch master cylinder replaced because I was having issues with the car not recognizing the clutch fully depressed when I start my S4.......I hope this isn't a start of a bigger issue

so at 47k on my 2010 s4 I blew up the stock clutch, I installed a clutchmasters kx400. about 2 weeks later I started having the problem with having to push the clutch all the way to ground to get my car started..
now at 56k miles the clutch master cylinder blew up, I replaced it and Im having the problem. I am being told to replaced the clutch. but this just doesn't add up.
someone please save me another $4500 and tell me what the hell is wrong with my precious s4

I have the exact same issue. My 2010 S4 needed a new clutch because the car would not start. It only had like 43k Miles. 14 months later the same issue was back and AoA would not pay as it was only a warranty for 12 months. Even though I had only put like 7k miles on.
