I have 32k, and I've used two sets of tires (use Michelin Alpine pa3s in the winter.) The OEM Pirelli Cinturatos are getting pretty close to needing replacement. Will be replacing them with Michelin Pilot SS, much better tire.

I got 34,000 miles on the original Pirelli P Zeros with my 2014 S5 manual. I am replacing those Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

Right at 10k on my stock 19" Contis and road noise is very loud (has been for awhile) and I'd estimate they will be done around 12-13k, not much left. Car has never been tracked and don't think I really drive it all that hard to be honest. Pretty disappointed in them to be honest--one has developed a slow leak as well that I need to have looked at soon.

My summer S-04's have about 18-19k on them and are definitely starting to get louder. I have about 5-6/32 left on them. Hopefully I can get them through the summer and early fall before switching back to DWS-06's.

Try Pilot Supersport's for summer use. I have them and I drive pretty hard and they are holding up better then any summer tire I have ever used.

This thread must have jinxed me after I replied--slow leak in my right rear tire got worse so took the car in for a check as part of regular service. They wouldn't work on the tire as it was so close to the wear bars. Just bit the bullet and bought new Conti ExtremeContact DWS06 all around. They had them in stock (with the 560 tread life version, not the cheaper 340) and a promo going to buy 3 and get the 4th for $1. Mounted and out the door with road hazard etc for a hair over $900. So, OEM 19" Summer Continentals lasted me right at 10k and honestly, I don't think I drive that hard as everything is just around town to and from work etc. One road trip (around 1k) in that 10k. Ouch! Won't be buying those again.

I went through 2 sets of tires so far with 2012 S4 MT and "active" style of driving. Original Contis lasted only about 10k but performed very well. Then I switched to a set of Vredesteins from Europe, which had great reviews and the best price. These lasted almost 20k but I also slowed down a bit in my vigor

I got about 15K on my Pirelli P-Zero's. Just replaced them with the Conti DWS A/S. I've had good luck with those tires in the past.

I drive freeway about 80% of the time. My OE Continentals on 19" wheels, managed a surprising 47,500 miles (with 1 track day). For the 2nd set I went with Michelin Pilot Super Sport....lasted 35,000 miles. Wanted to try something different by the local America's Tire made me a great deal on yet another set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports, tread looks good at 92,xxx miles.
