Alright, so this just started happening today. My AC was working fine til this afternoon. I turned it on and it started making this ticking noise, but it sounds like its coming from behind the Temp Control display, and no air comes out the center vents, but it does out the top and bottom vents. Also the air is still cold, so i don't think its an issue with the compressor.

sounds like a malfunctioning electronic switch trying to click over or something....like electronic issues ever happens on these cars!

I haven't any time to look at it, so was just trying to get some opinions on what i should look at first.

the sound turns off when i turn the AC off, or push the Econ button.

also, i'm kind of getting a smell. hard to explain what it smells like, but i think there may be a short somewhere, or possibly the middle vent motor could be burnt out.

should've updated this a while ago, but i ended up finding a used HVAC head unit on the classifieds here. Installed it and everything was fine again. the end. haha

Just wanted to update what solved the issue for anyone having the same problem.
