Broken horn? Clock Spring?
Turning to the experts on the forum for some troubleshooting suggestions regarding my broken horn. So far, I've replaced the fuse, the horn relay and the two horns (high and low) with new. Still no beep beep. I've also checked the wiring behind the airbag. All seems in order. A multimeter test shows no power at the fuse.
I suppose at this point the next step would be to replace the clock spring but it seems unlikely to be the problem. I have no airbag CELS nor codes. If the spring were a problem, wouldn't both the horn and the airbag be out of commission?
Hmmmm. Whatcha think. Replace the clock spring next? Any other suggestions? Super frustrating.

Look up wire diagrams and Find the pin thats just grounding coming from the clock spring connector, and see if that pin goes to ground when you hit the horn. That will tell you if itsn before the clock spring. The contacts or wires on steering wheel itself behind the airbag could be the issue too. And yes 1 wire in the clock spring can break and the rest be ok, seems impossible but I have seen it.

Replaced clock spring. Horn fixed!
After replacing the original spring with the latest part in the series the horn is back in action. Yes!
Original Part #: 1J0 959 654 J
Latest Part #: 1J0 959 654 BK
I used the following instructions to recode the ABS/ESP module and calibrate the steering angle:
