Default Can k04 wastegate go broke?

0.5bar boost is missing, and the boost oscillates. Everything looks good, vagcom says nothing unusual. Wastegate levers works ok when used by compressed air, by hand levers feels ok. I think, that wether one turbo is compeletely jammed or it's wastegate is leaking somehow. Time to new turbos?

Sure they can break but what makes you think it's the turbos and not a boost leak somewhere? If it is just the wastegate you can get a new one - you don't need to replace the entire turbo (although you will be pulling it out anyway).

1 - Pressure test the intake system.

2 - Using VAG-COM or ECUx log the requested boost pressure and actual boost pressure. If requested is significantly higher than actual, you are losing boost.

3 - Hook up a MityVac or some other sort of pressure hand pump. Connect it to your wastegate lines. Wastegate actuator arm should just start to move at about 7 psi.

Boost oscillates by sound and running of the car. Boost gauge don't show this oscillation, it shows steady readings (so throttle must be still?). Block 032 is higher on drivers side. At wot, O2 voltages are similar at both sides. CFs vary maybe 6 degrees, samallest about 5, highest 13.

Catalysator blocked? Crack at turbo?

I think, that this has to be something, which appears only a bit higher boost and gets air to bounce between turbos.

I recently had the same issue. The car would feel like it was losing boost during a wot pull. Boost guage held steady at 20psi though. I was backfiring too. I would hear popping in my exhaust. Turned out to be my coil packs. I replaced them all and the problem went away. I was also misfiring at idle too. Strangest part of all this was, I never got a flashing cel when it missed under load.

Did you pull codes? If codes dont tell you anything, pressure test, change plugs, change coils, and see if that helps.
