Default coolant help

yesterday i started my car and waited a bit and then i drove off. I heard a swishing noise. I stopped and all of my coolant drained out my reservoir. I checked the radiator hose top and bottom and from the reservoir. i can smell the coolant towards the back of the engine but no leaks. there is a puddle under my car right now and i can see coolant drip behind the engine next to the sway bar. I appreciate any info you guys can give me.

check your coolant temp. sensors - one on the lower radiator hose, passenger side - the other on the back of the motor on the black metal coolant line running the length of the back.

Also, refill your coolant system with regular water to see where it comes out. My guess is a busted hose or one of your sensors popped out under pressure.

Sounds like your Aux Coolant Pump or hoses, which run under your intake manifold. If they leak, the coolant could drain behind your engine.

that seems to be happening a lot around here lately. I guess a good way to check is to see if you have coolant pooled under the intake manifold on top of the engine.

What shocked me was how brittle those plastic hose barbs in the vac system become after 10 years. Just a little pressure and they basically crumble into dust...

For real, it shows you what the expected life of these cars was.
