Default heat shield

I am in the process of making piggie pipes. Who ever said removing the DPs was easy is a damned liar.
In the process me or one of the guys helping destroyed one of them, and we founf on the drivers side cutting it out was a final act of desperation.

So as I near time for reinstallation I have come to the question of how to proceed. Do I buy new shields and find a way to wedge them in (I swear its not possible, is there a recommended turbo wrap, or do I need anything at all?

Had I realized the hell it woudl be removing them I never would have started, but now I am past that point so I just want to get it finished. Any help is appreciated.

You can leave the heat shields off. Just wrap them with heatwrap to about 4-6 inches before the bend - you can get a roll of wrap on amazon for about 30 bucks - this will do a better job of lowering the underhood temp than the heat shields do.
