Default 2016 s6 - winter tire advice

All
Living here in Ottawa where the average winter temperature and snowfall should be illegal. Question;
- would you recommend using after market winter rims that weren't from Audi? If so, can someone point me to a specific brand they recommend as well as tires?

Thanks!

Default Winter tires

For lighter snow, driving mostly on dry roads and a driving experience most similar to summer tires, I like the Michelin Artic Alpin 4. Mine are on OEM 19" wheels. I believe that the Bridgestone Blizzaks are better in real deep snow. I have also read good things about the Nokian Hakkapeliitta. There are usually 19" OEM wheels for sale as people frequently want larger, prettier wheels soon after they purchase.

I am running aftermarket wheels on my SQ5. Hartmann RS4 replica wheels. Not a issue here in Colorado. I would not worry to much about a good quality aftermarket wheel. I think the nokian's are you best choice in your area. I have blizzak's and they are a little fishy on dry roads when the temps are in the 40's. Colorado has huge temperature swings in a day. Sometimes 50f in the day and -10f at night. I am looking into a different tire right now.

I've got a like new set of 19" OEM wheels with Conti winter contacts in the classifieds if you're interested? They were on a 2014 S7 so they should fit the S6 just fine.

I'm definitely interested, if they fit the 2016. Could you send me a link?

I have a set of VMR 20" RS4 replica wheels that I bought secondhand from an AudiWorld member last year, with a set of new Blizzaks mounted on them. My car was awesome in the snow, and we had a lot of it in Pennsylvania last year. This keeps my OEM wheels and summer tires nice, missing out on half a year of road salt and potholes.

I'd like to know the link if the wheels & tires are still available. Thanks
