We provide valve simulators with the kit to plug into the factory harness so the ECU doesn't think they're gone. The "on" button simply opens them, and the "off" button keeps them closed. They will go back to their home position after 45 mins - an hour of the vehicle being stationary, i.e. turned off.

Neat product Josh. If you introduce a version which has the following modes, I'll buy it in a heartbeat:
- Open: valves are locked in open position
- Bypass: Stock programming works as normal (as if the AWE unit isn't installed)

After reading this thread, curious if anybody has just bypassed the factory valves??? I did that to my brother's Ferraris, since there wasn't a dedicated fuse, like on Corvettes, where I installed a switch using a add-a-fuse (fully reversible). The Ferraris are way too loud with it open all the time, but on the S6, the sound is subdued enough that maybe open all the time wouldn't be obtrusive at all. Will take a look how easy is to reach them. If they can be reached without removing anything, it'd be a piece of cake, especially if Audi didn't use metallic clamps (like Porsche does), which have to get destroyed to remove, also risking damage to the lines and/or ports. I wouldn't touch them if they're like Porsche's.
