Default CPO 2013 S6, any special attention needed?

Hello all, I am new to Audi. I recently test drove a 2013 S6 CPO with asking price $55K and is a one owner car. it has 34K miles on it and it has driver assistance pkg, LED headlights, rear sunshades, multi-coutour seats and carbon inlay. No head-up display and night vision. The new car sticker was close to $82K. Standard warranty expires in 2017 Mar and CPO warranty ends in 2019 Mar.

The CPO reports showed all 4 brake pads and lines were replaced and new tires was put on as well. The car feels pretty solid and no squeaking/rattling on local uneven roads and on 101 highway. I didn't push the car, but the car interior feels very quiet and acceleration is great.. a little tap and it reaches 70MPH at no time.

I understand 2013 was the S6 on C7 platform. Any special items I need to be careful and pay extra attention?

Cheers,

Will

Default Check for Turbo leaks

There was a TSB to replace some turbo seals and parts. I jhave a 2013 made about the same time and it has leaked twice. Fine otherwise. Equipped just like mine - enjoy!

+1 on this one. Mine has leaked three times.

Another item to check is the engine cover. My foil insulation fell off. The new one purchased last year is completely different with parts holding the foil on the cover more securely than the original design.

Thanks all for the info and they are super useful. Regarding the turbo seal thingy, was it fixed in later build of 2013 S6 and later model year S6?

Cheers,

Cheers,
I would think no as mine needed to be fixed in Jan 2013 (Sept 12 delivery) and again in 2014 and 2015. It might have been fixed sometime in later model years but I'm thinking not during the 2013 model year production. But I don't know that it was a consistent problem either.

I have a 2013 CPO car. I bought it with only 4500 miles CPO and it's been great.

I would make sure that the MMI has been updated and the transmission update has been performed. If you have rough downshifts into second gear in sport mode than it has not been done.

I only have 27,000 miles on mine and it has heads up and night vision. My sticker price was $89k. If you want to give me $55k for mine I'll take it

I've been thinking about getting an SUV for my hauls.

1) MMI Update with the upgrade to the new 3G Cellular radio per TSB 2039515/2
2) Software update to address throttle lag referenced here: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/s6-...issue-2867009/
3) Transmission Control Unit update to address harsh downshifts 3-2 in sport mode (can't find that TSB offhand)

I have a 2013 S6, bought used in Houston (not CPO). No issues at all. Great car! Looks like your price is right in line.

IMO, price is pretty high.. I'd offer quite a bit less if you're seriously interested....

Mine is also a 2013, so you can save yourself the time reading that entire (sometimes conflicting/confusing) thread and simply ask the dealer to perform the same updates to that car as mine did to mine:

https://www.audiworld.com/forums/s6-.../#post24795519

It's a great car - hope you're able to join the club!
