Warped rotors
Purchased my CPO S6 in 12/2014 with 19,000 miles and brand new brake rotors and pads. Brought my car in for 25,000 mile service and dealer tells me I need to replace all rotors and pads due to overheating/warping. This is not covered under warranty.
Find it hard to believe I warped the rotors in 5000 miles of commuting. Car never tracked. Had an S4 for 3 years and never had warped rotors.
Anyone else have issues with "warped" rotors?
BTW: had dealer look into throttle lag, they said it was normal operation for an S6.

I guess I'll ask the obvious question. Did YOU notice any brake problems or did they just suddenly say they were warped upon inspection? If you noticed a problem within 5000 miles then someone botched the install and that should certainly be covered under a repair guarantee of some sort. Typically one year 12k miles...

A good practice is to own a torque wrench. Every time you take your car in for service and if you feel the people worked on your car removed a wheel then it's time to re-torque your wheels. I will be torquing my wheels right after I take delivery of the car. I never find the service department, anywhere, gets the proper torque applied to the lug nuts. They are all different and this leads to 'warped' rotors. Once I started doing this I have never had any problems.

Similar Issue...
I was actually just searching here in this forum on this topic the other day. I started experiencing vibration about a month ago on my 2013 with about 12k miles on the car. Started off fairly mild and it got progressively worse. At 60 mph +under hard braking it was getting quite bad. I took it in this past Tuesday and my dealer replaced both front rotors under warranty. (stating they were "warped"). Which is fine with me... Call it what your like, my problem is cured and I did not pay.
On a related topic, I had a 2002 4.2, which at the time, my dealer said had notoriously bad rotors that constantly "warped". I had those fronts replaced twice under warranty within the first 12k miles of owning the CPO car. To cure the issue after the third time, a performance shop in my area replaced the OE rotors with a Zimmerman OE replacement that was treated & slotted I changed out the pads to a ceramic pad and added stainless lines and drove another 30k miles with no issue and much better performance. Perhaps the slots helped prevent the build up of pad material? Perhaps the different pad?
Either way, the dealer was willing to handle the issue in both cases. The OP may want to revisit this with the dealer that indicated this was not covered.
