I put them on the rear axle and they are great. Apparently the front pads and calipers need these sticky ANTI VIBRATION round DISCS WHICH COST $250 for each set of calipers. They adhere to the back of the brake pads and you need 3 of them per pad, so a total of 12. Cost was $260 for 6 I think, so you are talking $500 more. I am going to wait to do the fronts for now and see if I can source this Kit a bit cheaper. Audi part number 4H0698231. AUDI delaer says they changed out a RS6 and you need these for S6, S7 and S8 as well.

What do you know about their kevlar pads? What's the difference between kevlar and ceramic? The kevlar is slightly less expensive. From the site, each set of pads includes "integrated constrained layered anti-squeal shims."

Jim Ellis Audi in Atlanta sells the part for $195. Repair kit damping washer (self-adhesive) for Audi S8 (2010 - 2012). #4H0698231

See no shims, just a backing material. I may call Brakeworld and discuss the backing material and see if it serves the same purpose as the shims did with the OEM pads

Re-used mine with 10000 miles on them. No issues...did the job myself.
