A4 versus A3
So after doing some lengthy research, an Audi seems like it will be my final choice. I like the A3, but being within budget, the A4 (with the Seasons of Audi package) seems like a good deal. Obviously size is a preference and styling details, but I'm split.
It will be a daily driver, some city and highway driving. Most likely used on weekend road trips.
Anyone go A4 over A3?

I absolutely love my A3, but when the lease is up early next year, I'd probably get a manual transmission A4 simply because it has a manual or maybe just get the WRX I've always wanted.

In the Canadian market, an S3 is comparable in price to an A4, give or take. If a manual transmission isn't important, would you consider the increased performance of the S3 over an A4? Something to consider, maybe?

A4. Shouldn't even be a question IMO. Much better everything really. I had multiple test drives of both before I opted for the A4.
BUT
If you're considering the S3 vs A4, then that's another story, which is something that I also took into account.
In the end the styling, feel, layout, and class of the A4 won.
ALSO...
Considering everything, I think I would have gone with the Golf R over the S3 if it came down to that. I find the S3 was just too small for me, and having the hatchback would have helped a lot with a lot.
BIAS: I'm a big dude though, 6'2" ex rugby player, so I was definitely biased over to something slightly bigger.

Between the A3 and A4, the A4 is a no brainer. I liked the A3 I drove. It was a peppy car and it was nice. But the A4 is the better car overall. It definitely feels like it is a class above the A3. And the 252bhp engine is mighty fast too (not that the A3 is a slouch; magazines test it to be only 0.1s off each other).

The A3 is small(er) and has an unfinished interior. There's a a big lack of luxury inside. The A4 has much more room and luxury finishes inside. That's how I look at the two. The driving itself isn't that far apart.
