New 3.0 Liter 6 cyl TDI for 08' Touareg

Just wanted to confirm recent article in Car and Driver that a 3.0 Liter Diesel will be available. Has anyone heard contrary to this?

Isnt that the reason for type approval of 3.0

because it fits into practically everything.

I don't think the engine is new. It is new to the US market, but the Euro market has already have the 3.0L V6 common rail available in the T-reg.

yes, I believe that that's why they went with the 3.0 V6... they can drop it in a bunch of platforms

to test the market for diesel
