MAP Sensor Problem (P0106 & P0238)
Alright first post, wish it wasn't asking for help.
First about the car...
2000 Audi TT 180 with ko4 upgrade
Got the car as a project and decided to keep it...for now...
I have recently rebuilt the entire front end of this car and it has run fine and still does. Turbo ran great, but seals were going so I rebuilt it after I noticed a large amount of oil in intercooler. So before this I got the two codes mentioned in the title (P0106 & P0238) and now after the rebuild I still get them. So I pulled the MAP sensor and cleaned it with some MAF cleaner. Engine light popped back on. I have read many discussions about this and have performed almost every remedy I could think of. The only ones that I have not tried are..
1. replaced the sensor
2. reflashed my ECU
(Not sure if it was ever tuned and don't believe so)
I did notice the secondary air pump hose leading into a small metal module (Guessing some sort of valve), does not fully clip in. Even after me trying to jam it on so the clip would engage. Would this possibly cause an issue? If so I can easily fix it. Im wondering if driving down the road would maybe bump it loose a bit and cause faulty readings. Not sure.
I can provide more pictures or more details etc.
Thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate anything you guys can think of.

All I can say is that the secondary air pump "hoses" become as brittle as eggshells as they are exposed to engine heat. Cracks form and holes appear causing leaks and check engine lights. Replacement is the proper thing to do if that's your issue. ECS Tuning has OES for a better price than dealer online sources. Not always fun to replace......

Thanks for the reply. I checked them pretty thoroughly for cracks and didn't notice any. Ill check a little more tonight. Probably going to just buy a new MAP sensor and see what happens. Hopefully that fixes the issue since cleaning it did not.
Since I have the ko4 I was wondering if that may be causing problems? I doubt it but never know I guess.
