Hello all,

I am getting a 2009 TT soon. The car has just completed its 115,000 Km service and cost the seller around $3K. As far as I am concerned, I won't have to do a similar service until around 175,000Km. So it should be ok by then.

However, what about the car in general in terms of other maintenance cost? Will I be paying a similar (or more) amount of money more often than not?

Also, any information about the expected running cost? Can some share your personal experience about it?

These cars are pretty reliable. They are very fuel efficient too which saves a lot of money over time compared to other sports cars. I was expecting the car to be much more maintenance intensive when I bought it and it was a pleasant surprise. You can get stuff done cheaper going to independent mechanics rather then dealer too.

Timing belt kit with waterpump, etc. included needs to be done if it was not already. Once every 75k miles to be safe. $1000 US dollar job. Mandatory.

DSG trans flush is not mandatory but suggested $300 US dollars every 35k. If AWD the haldex fluid flush too. The filters.

These may of all been done at 115k km service?

Other then that oil changes of synthetic and topping the oil off inbetween oil changes.
