Default Time to replace the potenza tires

Im at 15k (yes, i put alot of miles on car) and rotated them... probably too late. Just doesnt drive the same.

Anyway, for replacements any recommendations for a tire that might sacrifice some performance for longevity?

So what exactly is wrong? Is the treadwear odd? Noisy? Uneven wear?

Do you have some photos? What tire pressures are you using?

thanks. i dont have photos.. and not around my car today to take any. i will later.

after the tires were rotated the ride just doesnt feel smooth like it used to. i asked the audi dealer service dept that did the rotation and they said it might be because the wear was uneven and so now it might feel different after the rotation. the pressure is what is on the door to the car.. which i believe is 34 psi in front and 32 psi in back.

I am at 25k miles and my tires are holding up like champs... I did swap out for winters so lets subtract maybe 8k from that number. 15k is unacceptable unless you did a track day or something.

Default Michelin Pilot A/S 3 significantly longer life than most performance summer tires

.

According to Consumer Reports and others on Ultra High Performance all season tires and still decent perfromance. Estimated double the life as compared to Michelin Super Sport summer tires.

You might need balancing. My last car had 19" wheels with run flats. When they went back on (and rotated) after a winter, they felt horrible...like tires from The Flintstones. They balanced them adding weights to various spots and it solved the problem.

i made the initial thread on this, just quick update. over time after having tires rotated the problem has subsided. i guess they just wore pretty unevenly and when they rotated it initially felt quite 'off'. so by now i guess they've worn in again back to 'normal'.
