Hello, everyone! I got a new model Audi A5 2015, had a accident in front, after I changed all parts I found the power steering is not working at all. Accident did not touch anything on steering system even airbag deployed. Checked by computer, J527 fault and many others found, but steering is in perfect looking. Has contacted Audi dealer for a check up since I have no idea what happened, it's electric steering system. If anyone has any idea about the system please give some advise, programming? Repair?change complete? I will post the result and solution also if i fix it one day, thanks.

Me again, i removed power steering ecu and sent to a computer specialist for check up. But they said the ecu looks ok, there is power going through it. No further test can be done as it is 2015, and some part of ecu is permanently closed, not available for further test. So i have to consider to change steering assembly complete which will cost a lot more. Will write here again if any news. I have to confirm that i can fix it after i pay that big price.

I fixed the problem by changing the power steering control unit. The control unit has to be online reprogramming since yellow warning light is on. Its a nightmare really, but finally its fixed. The new one costs hell a lot. Better order online from germany or find used one. If its red color warning light means not working. If yellow, means working and need online reprogramming. Online programming can only be done by audi specialist or dealer. Not simply computer work. I spent 1200 dollars for all. The local dealer was asking 4000 dollars only for the part. Hope my experience can help u save sth.
