Default Bluetooth Coding Adjustment (not sure if SDS available)

I'm having some technical problems that I was hoping could be addressed in this thread as it wasn't getting as much traction as I had hoped in the D3 section (
Bluetooth no longer Connecting thread
)

The problem is that after upgrading to MMI v.4610 I can no longer connect my phone via Bluetooth to the car and the speech button on the steering wheel displays that the button is not active as they once were usable.

Moreover the car is a MY2007 S8 which I assumed had SDS but the programming in module 77- telephone suggests othewise as its set to 0010970. Per my understanding this needs to be 0 if I have SDS... problem is that i cannot change it. It gives me an error 31: Request out of Range even after I ensured the WSC/Importer/Equipment number were all non-zero values.

From semi-reverse engineering this I am coming to the conclusion that either 1) I don't have SDS, this coding is correct and something else is off. 2) I do have SDS and something else is off which is preventing me from changing this or 3) The bluetooth module is no longer working (but all indications to in VCDS is that it is.

Also, in my case the 07-control head was set to 0010003

Any help would be much appreciated. It'd be nice to know how to figure out if I actually have SDS too.

Thanks in advance.
