CEL turns off by itself. WTF?

Default CEL turns off by itself. WTF?
Was throwing 17536 and 17538 codes, which I cleared twice and CEL came on again. Made appointment with the dealer, and the next day it went off and hasn't come on in a week. Bad gas? Mileage is off, but that could be the 10% ethanol they made us use last month. Comments?

Default possible air mass meter...
and yes, it's possible the fuel blend change could make a difference. Question is...even though the MIL is off, is the code still stored?
