Cleared DTC's - False Positives
How many of you have experienced cleared DTC's that have never re-occurred? Just wondering. What would cause them to appear and never reappear?

I think you will find from time to time an intermittent DTC set. Seems to go with the advanced nature of the electronics in these cars. May have been a connection that flopped for a moment on a bad bump or any number of reasons for it to occur.
Usually, if it clears and does not return, it is nothing to worry about. If it is indicative of an impending failure, at some point, you will not be able to clear the DTC.
