On the transmission error, don't worry about it too much. (You might want to make sure your brake lights work.) According to the manual, it means an open or short circuit between the transmission and the brake light circuit, but I also noticed the following note...

This malfunction is pre-set when the ignition is switched on and then cancelled when the brake pedal is pressed for the first time, provided that the brake light switch -F- is OK.

Try turning your key on, then stepping on your brake, then see if the error is still there.

If your interested, use VAGcom, connect to the the transmission (which is 02), go to measure blocks, and measure group 3.
Box 1 is the brake light switch. It should probably go on and off as you step on the brake.

For your interest, 2 is the Park and Neutral lock, 3 is your car speed, and 4 is the voltage.

In summary, I'd clear it and see if it comes back. It's really not a big deal. You can change how your car works in TIP mode using VAGCom. I don't think you should need to adapt anything unless you have some sort of problem.

Default Correct!

Dan,

what you said is correct. I just pushed the brake pedal and the fault code is gone.
