Thanks. I still have the autoscan auto-run every time after clearing codes. To clear them I click Clear all DTC and then it 's off to the races... and I hold esc to get it to stop.

I can live with it but I have a feeling I am doing something wrong.

On any version of Windows you should be able to hit Alt-PrtSc to capture the currently selected application (as opposed to the whole screen). Then just open "Paint" or whatever and "Paste".
