Default Mesure block not available

Hi

I'm using VAG-COM with a thrid party interface on my Audi 100 V8 4.2L (same engine as Audi V8 4.2L : ABH. this model was only sold only in Europe)

I can connect to the engine module, I can read Fault codes (if there are) but I can't read the mesure block (I've got a red message : unavailable)

Is it normal ?
Thanks

hi

Was it a message to inform me that I don't have to expect any support because I have a shareware version of VAG-COM or is it to inform me that the problem comes from my third-party interface !

If it is the second case, I'm using old version 4.09 wich is compatible with my interface. I can connect without any problem to all the modules my cas is equipped (Engine, ABS and HVAC), I can read fault codes with all theses modules.
With HVAC, I can read the mesure block, not with engine !
So i'm not sure at all that the problem comes from my interface.

Am I right or is it really a problem with my interface ?

thanks

Default well, there's really no way to know for sure...

What I do know for sure is that if you're a registered Vag-com user with a genuine Ross Tech interface, you wouldn't be having these problems.

If you take a look at this page, you will find that there's limited functionality with the shareware version and reading measuring blocks.

Default Re: well, there's really no way to know for sure...

I have read all the pages !
I know that there are limitations but blocks 001 to 025 should be readable in shareware version. (You can only view groups 001-025. Groups 000 and 026-255 are blocked.

None of them is working. So my question is :
Is my ECU not too old to give these informations ?
Is the functionality working on a Audi V8 with ABH engine (4.2L V8)

I will not register if it is not possible to read the block with my ECU.
Maybe only the fault codes are readable on my engine, and so, the shareware version if efficient enough for me !

Thanks

This 4.2l engine only supports MVB 000, which is not available in the shareware version.
